Heavy Fire On Arrival In Pawtucket

On Thursday At 09:10 AM Pawtucket Engine's 1,2 & 5 Tower 1 responded for multiple calls reporting a structure fire at 87-89 Belmont St. Engine 1 arrived quickly from the West Ave station blocks away to find a 3 story wood frame heavily involved on floor 2,3 and extending into and thru the cock loft and roof. Companies began an interior attack on the fire but were evacuated shortly there after due to the roof starting to collapse. Crews set up and flowed water from tower 1 and set up lines on the roof of the exposure two building a one story commercial building. Multiple lines were stretched the fire was knocked down within an hour and a half utilizing all city apparatus and also Engine 7 was staffed and responded. Central Falls, North Providence, Providence and East Providence filled in at empty stations.Another great stop by Pawtucket firefighters, The recall at 13:05
