At 03:48 Still Box 1452 Prairie Avenue At Sayles Street was transmitted for a reported Structural Fire At 414 Prairie Avenue, Engines 10,11,13 Special Hazards, Ladder 5, Tower Ladder 1, Rescue 1 and Division 1 Responded. Engine 10 arrived and reported a Working Fire with smoke showing from a three story occupied wood frame structure and initiated a interior attack on a fire condition in a floor 2 bathroom in quadrant C, At 03:52 Engine 9 (Safety) Tower Ladder 2 (Fast) Engine 5 & Air Supply Filled in on the assignment. Engine 11 dropped double feeders to Engine 10 who had run 1 line for fire attack while Engine 13 stretched in a line to floor 3 to check for extension which turned up a heavy fire condition running upwards into the attic At 03:56 Command requested an additional Engine & Truck, Engine 3 & Ladder 8 responded. Around 03:57 Ladder 5 reported fire thru the roof in the rear as a interior crew knocked it down. The heavy volume of fire was knocked down in about thirty minutes after arrival, Crews checked for extension and overhauled the recall was sounded at 05:54. Multiple residents were assisted by Red Cross with no injuries reported.
