Providence Vacant Dwelling Burns In Two Alarm Fire

On November 27th Providence Fire Alarm dispatched a full assignment to 88 Veazie Street for a vacant house fire. Engine Two arrived to find heavy fire on floor one extending upwards to all floors of the 3.5 story wood frame vacant dwelling set back behind two other buildings. A second alarm was transmitted soon after. Ladder three arrived and set up a ladder pipe on side one with crews engaged in a exterior operations. Multiple lines and ladder pipes contained the fire to the building of origin in about a hour an a half. Multiple companies were special called above the second alarm.
